First quarter ended on Friday, October 13th. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held in all buildings on Wednesday, October 18th, 3:00-7:00 PM and Thursday, October 19th, 1:00-7:00 PM. School will be dismissed early on Thursday, October 19th (12:45 PM). The District will be closed on Friday, October 20th.
The District continues implementation of PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention
and Support. Representatives from the Central RPDC (Regional Professional Development Center) have visited both LMS and LHS to support these efforts. LBS once again received Bronze Level recognition for implementation with fidelity. Celebrations will take place at the building level for students who qualify.
Fall Benchmark Assessments were completed District-wide. The data from these assessments is being utilized to direct instruction. Winter Benchmarks will be conducted following Winter Break. This will enable us to measure student growth and make any needed instructional adjustments to meet students needs.
Our next BOE meeting is Wednesday, October 18th at 7:00. Representative Terry Thompson will be present to share a legislative update.
Trunk-or-Treat will be held on Tuesday, October 24th, 5:00-7:00 in the LHS parking lot. Please contact the BOE Office at 259-4369 if your, or your organization, would like to sponsor a trunk.
