Daily efforts may go unnoticed, but not at LMS! Just like the cannonball in the Lafayette County Courthouse, we remember the moments that #MakeAnImpact .
If you recognize one of the students pictured, please reach out to their parents/guardians and congratulate them on this recognition!

We are aware that there is a gas leak in the Indian Hills subdivision. We have made contact with the bus rider parents that live the area to make arrangements for pick up after school. The city is evacuating the area, please avoid this area along with Stephens and Martin Lane.
Tune in and see what life on the roof was like for Mr. Schmidt today!

LMS has DONE IT!
We wanted to set a record for selling 484 K-8 Fundraiser cards and we are pleased to report...we sold 500+ cards.
This was the greatest fundraiser for through K-8 fundraising in the last 17 years!!!
Mr. Schmidt will be "Principal for the Day" (once his bullhorn shows up from Amazon) and we will look to have a Dance Party during school sometime soon (once a DJ is acquired).
Thanks for your support to the families and Lexington community who bought cards!

Happy IT Professionals Day!

This week’s staff recognition post goes to Mrs. McMakin, one of our great Special Education teachers at LMS! She has been making an impact on our students and we are already seeing the growth in the early school year! Mrs. McMakin works hard to make her students feel the structure and care that is necessary to get results from lessons she teaches! In addition, she is always quick to help a fellow teacher implement curriculum or navigate our new testing system.

This week’s staff recognition post goes to Miss Janes, our LMS Character Education teacher! She has been making an impact on our Lexington youth that has extended well beyond the walls of the middle school. A Lexington patron reported to Mr. Schmidt: a student offered to help her water some plants in town and was quoted saying: “Miss Janes always tells us that we should look for opportunities to better our community.” What a ripple effect! Miss Janes isn’t just changing the lives of the students, but her effects are being felt throughout Lexington! She has been doing great things for years here at LMS and we are so blessed to have a program like hers in the building and community!
